Position Overview
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Hays State Prison provides essential support to the nursing and medical team by assisting with daily patient care and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a structured healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living, including hygiene, mobility, and basic patient needs
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
- Support nurses with patient care tasks and clinical procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility protocols
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment
- Always follow infection control and safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and multidisciplinary team members

Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Georgia required
- Current and Active CPR certification required
- Previous experience in corrections, long-term care, or hospital setting preferred
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Ability to work in a structured, team-oriented environment
