The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a leading nonprofit hospice and palliative care provider in in the DFW Metroplex, to hire a compassionate Hospice Home Health Aide (HHA) / Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) dedicated to providing exceptional end-of-life care in the comfort of patients' homes.

Reporting to the HHA Supervisor, you'll work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide hands-on personal care, promote patient comfort and dignity, and support families during every stage of the hospice journey.

 You'll play a vital role in creating a safe, respectful environment while communicating patient needs and changes to the care team. If you're passionate about making a meaningful difference through compassionate, patient-centered care, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and ambulation following agency policies and procedures
  • Observe, document, and report changes in patient condition to the RN Case Manager
  • Support nutrition, hydration, comfort, and daily living activities
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful home environment
  • Follow individualized care plans, infection control practices, hospice & documentation standards
  • Collaborate with nurses, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary care team
  • Protect patient privacy and respect personal property
  • Perform assigned treatments and procedures according to agency policies
  • Uphold the organization's mission, values, and standards of quality care
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an approved HHA/CNA training program/competency evaluation
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an HHA/CNA in hospice, home health, long-term care, hospital, or nursing home preferred
  • Valid Texas driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English & manage time effectively
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., assist with patient mobility, and work in home environments
  • Must pass background check, competency evaluation, TB test, and meet health screening requirements
