**Job Summary**\
The Certified Nurses Aide, under the direction of the Registered Nurse
or appropriate designee, assists the medical and nursing staff by
providing direct and indirect patient care and performing related duties
and procedures as assigned.
**Essential Job Functions**
- Assists the patient with ADLs (activities of daily living) such as
personal hygiene and grooming care, feeding, ambulation, turning,
and lifting.
- Obtains, reports, and records patient data.
- Assists with swing bed activities.
- Performs clerical duties as needed.
- Performs miscellaneous duties and tasks as appropriate to training
and skill, assigned by RN including assisting with workload in other
areas when directed.
- Position requires access to highly confidential information
- Performs other duties as assigned.
**Requirements**
High school diploma preferred
Current CNA Certificate or actively enrolled in an Idaho approved CNA
training program and working under the supervision of a licensed RN.
Current BLS Certification required
**Skills/Competencies**
- Discontinuing IV\'s (after 90 days of orientation and competency)
- Recording for Code Blue using Code Blue Sheet
- Able to demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks, use good
judgement in the delivery of patient care and communicate
effectively with patients, family members, care team members, and
