Position Summary OBGYN MIDWIFE HOSPITALIST IN ORLANDO

The Orlando Health Medical Group OHMG invites you to explore a full-time OBGYN Midwife Hospitalist opportunity at the nations premier dedicated womens hospital, Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies. The OHMG Womens Service Line is seeking a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care for diverse members of our central Florida community, principally providing coverage services to private practice providers.

The hospitalist group serves as a part of the Orlando Health Womens Institute, structured as an exclusively hospital-based model with time spent at the Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies, Lake Mary Hospital, and South Lake Hospital. Clinical opportunities include labor and delivery, postpartum care, and comprehensive clinical care in our Womens Triage unit.

Responsibilities Full-time CNMs enjoy a flexible monthly schedule of 14 clinical, 12-hour shifts, variable shifts in a calendar month. Ability to pick up additional shifts. No on-call. Work in an acute care environment where you are truly a member of a care team. Join a team that provides clinical coverage 24/7 - including Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Gynecology, and Obstetrical Triage Department. Work collaboratively with physicians and advanced practice provider colleagues.

Qualifications Education and Training • Masters degree or higher from a program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME). • Certified as a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB), renewed every five years in compliance with the AMCB recertification methods. • Ability to obtain an active licensure in Florida as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a qualification of Certified Nurse-Midwife, renewed every two years in compliance with the Florida Board of Nursing. • Maintains current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Healthcare Provider certification, as well as Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.

Experience • Two years of experience as a practicing Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM). • Candidates who do not meet this requirement but have a strong midwifery/nursing background within the specialty may be considered. • Preferred experience with first assisting in surgical procedures. Candidates who do not meet this requirement but exhibit a willingness to learn this skill will be considered.
