What We Offer:

Join the Novant Health East Cooper Medical Center team as a CNA in Women's Surgery and Mother Baby/Couplet Care!

  

Location: East Cooper Medical Center 

Address: 2000 Hospital Dr, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464 

Schedule: 3 shfts/week 0500-1700 shifts available Wednesday-Saturday.  Every other Friday and Saturday required. Holiday rotation required.

  • Breast reconstruction
  • Hysterectomy
  • Bladder reconstruction 
  • GYN Oncology
What We're Looking For:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Experience: 1 yeaar of Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required. 
  • Licensure/Certification: Completion of NAI program, required. 
    • Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required.
    • Medication Safety - AME, required.
    • NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required. 
  • Additional Skills (preferred): Basic computer skills for documentation.
What You'll Do:
  • Monitors and records vital signs for both postpartum mothers and newborns
  • Assists with newborn clinical screenings and procedures, including obtaining 24-hour heel sticks 
  • Provides high-quality post-operative care for patients recovering from major and minor surgeries, including hysterectomies, myomectomies, laparoscopies, and breast surgeries
  • Promotes early post-op ambulation and safe transfers
  • Maintains a safe, secure, and sterile clinical environment, adhering strictly to infant security protocols
