Facility: East Cooper Medical Center

Location: Mount Pleasant, SC

Department: ICCU or General Med Surg

Position Type: Full time 

Work Schedule: 7a-7p or 7PM until 7AM

 

This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus. 

 

 

Provides and documents assistance to patients with activities of daily living and maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.

What We're Looking For:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required. 
  • Experience: One year preferred.  Assisted Living facilities only: One year experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required
  • Licensure/certification/registration: Completion of NAI program required. Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I required.  
  • Additional skills preferred: Basic computer skills for documentation.
What You'll Do:
  • Obtain and document vital signs, intake and output, and other clinical observations.
  • Assist patients with ambulation, transfers, positioning, and personal care.
  • Monitor patient condition and promptly report abnormal findings to the Registered Nurse.
  • Support infection prevention practices and patient safety initiatives.
  • Stock patient rooms, perform basic equipment maintenance, and maintain unit readiness.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to meet departmental and hospital goals.
  • Provide compassionate, customer-focused care in fast-paced acute care environments.
  • Float to comparable units including ICU, PCU, Med Surg, and Inpatient Rehab as assigned.
