What You'll Do
Support patients with daily care needs - offering comfort, dignity, and encouragement as you help with bathing, mobility, meals, and other essential activities that build trust and connection.
Work side‑by‑side with experienced nurses and mentors - sharing observations, asking questions, and learning in an environment where your voice matters and your growth is supported.
Help patients stay active and engaged in their recovery - assisting with safe mobility, repositioning, and ambulation while celebrating progress and building confidence.
Take and document vital signs and key patient information - contributing meaningful data that helps the entire care team stay aligned and provide excellent, coordinated care.
Create a calm, welcoming environment for patients and families - offering reassurance, listening with empathy, and being a steady, compassionate presence during a vulnerable time.
What We're Looking For
Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
Experience:
One year preferred.
One year Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required.
Licensure/Certification:
Completion of NAI program, required.
Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required.
Medication Safety - AME, required.
NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
Additional Skills (preferred): Basic computer skills for documentation.
