Novant Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Unit Clinical Care Technician (UCCT) team. UCCTs provide flexible, hospital-wide support by stepping in where patient care needs are greatest. As a UCCT, you'll be a vital member of the care team, ensuring safe, compassionate, and efficient care for patients across multiple units.

What You'll Do

  • Float between a variety of hospital units, providing CNA-level patient care and support
  • Assist with vital signs, patient hygiene, feeding, mobility, and comfort measures
  • Provide catheter care, including monitoring, emptying, and maintaining catheter systems in collaboration with nursing staff
  • Collaborate with nurses and providers to support patient care plans
  • Respond quickly to patient needs, including high-acuity or rapid-turnover areas
  • Document care activities accurately and maintain strong communication across teams
  • Help maintain unit supplies, equipment, and overall readiness

What We're Looking For

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: One year preferred. Assisted Living facilities only: One year experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required
  • Licensure/certification/registration: Completion of NAI program required. Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I required. Medication Safety - AME required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units required.
  • Additional skills preferred: Basic computer skills for documentation.
