Position Summary As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at St. Catherine, you’ll provide hands-on, compassionate care that helps residents live with dignity, comfort, and independence. You’ll play a vital role in supporting daily needs, building meaningful relationships, and contributing to a safe, supportive, and homelike environment. Working under the direction of licensed nursing staff, you’ll assist residents with daily activities, monitor their well-being, and ensure each person receives respectful, person-centered care aligned with their individual care plan.
What You’ll Do
Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene support
Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning using safe practices and equipment
Support residents with meals and monitor intake as needed
Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs with compassion and respect
Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
Take and record vital signs and assist with basic documentation
Support resident independence, choice, and daily routines
Build positive, respectful relationships with residents, families, and team members
Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
Follow care plans, safety guidelines, and infection control procedures
What We’re Looking For
Active CNA certification in the State of North Dakota (in good standing)
Compassionate, patient, and resident-centered mindset
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow care plans and clinical direction
Basic computer skills for electronic charting
Ability to meet the physical demands of the role
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Work Environment This role is based in a long-term care setting. You’ll work on your feet for most of the shift in close contact with residents, families, and team members. The environment is fast-paced, hands-on, and deeply team-oriented.
