We are seeking a compassionate, dependable healthcare professional to provide high-quality direct care and support to patients or residents in a collaborative care environment. This role plays an important part in promoting comfort, dignity, safety, and daily well-being while working closely with nurses and other members of the care team.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients or residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
- Provide safe and respectful assistance with transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
- Measure and document vital signs, intake and output, and other observations as assigned.
- Support meal service and assist with feeding as needed while following care plans and safety guidelines.
- Maintain clean, organized, and comfortable patient or resident care areas.
- Observe and report changes in physical, emotional, or behavioral condition to the nursing team promptly.
- Follow infection control, safety, and facility procedures at all times.
- Offer companionship, encouragement, and respectful communication to those in your care.
- Assist with transport, errands, and other routine support tasks as directed.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, therapists, and other staff to support individualized care.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Nurse Aide in good standing, where required by state or facility regulations.
- Experience providing direct patient or resident care in a healthcare, long-term care, or similar setting is preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow instructions, care plans, and safety procedures accurately.
- Physical ability to assist with lifting, repositioning, standing, and walking support as needed.
- Reliable, compassionate, and attentive approach to care.
- Basic computer or documentation skills preferred.
