Position Description & Details

Make a difference in healthcare education and help shape the next generation of caregivers at Bismarck State College! Our Continuing Education team is seeking a knowledgeable, student-focused Certified Medication Assistant II Instructor who is passionate about teaching and mentoring adult learners in a hands-on healthcare environment.

What Youll Do

  • Deliver CMA II instruction during daytime and/or evening classes for both online and in-person learners.
  • Supervise and support students during clinical experiences, helping them build practical skills in real-world healthcare settings.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment through mentorship, guidance, and individualized student support.
  • Ensure course material is taught thoroughly and in alignment with established curriculum standards and healthcare regulations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of CNA and CMA II practices, procedures, and industry expectations.
  • Teach approximately 1220 hours per month, depending on course scheduling and program needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Licensed registered nurse.
  • One year of Long-Term Care experience.
  • Minimum of three years of nursing experience.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups.
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to work independently and make appropriate decisions.
  • Teaching experience.
  • Experience in online teaching and learning.
  • Prior experience with Blackboard.
  • Flexible schedule for potential day classes.

BENEFITS

$30/hour-$35/hour based on experience and education.
