What You’ll Do
- Medication Administration
- Administer medications accurately according to physician orders and facility policies
- Follow the Five Rights of Medication Administration
- Observe residents for medication effectiveness and report concerns promptly
- Accurately document medication administration and resident responses
- Maintain medication cart organization, cleanliness, and security
- Resident Care Support
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
- Monitor and report changes in resident's condition to the licensed nurse
- Measure and record vital signs as assigned
- Respond promptly to resident needs and call lights
- Promote resident dignity, comfort, and independence
- Teamwork & Compliance
- Communicate effectively with nurses, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and facility safety standards
- Participate in shift reports and team communication
What We’re Looking For
- Current Texas Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification (required)
- Current CNA certification preferred/required per state regulations
- Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and medication accuracy
- Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
