Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Work Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday – 40 Hours Weekly

Keystone Health is seeking a full-time CMA to join the team at Keystone Internal Medicine in Waynesboro.

We’re a fast-paced, expanding Community Health Center looking for a compassionate and motivated CMA who is passionate about patient care and improving the wellness of our neighbors.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting Program required
  • Current CPR/BLS certification required
  • Prior experience in a medical office setting preferred
  • Experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system preferred

Responsibilities

  • Room and prepare patients for provider visits
  • Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and patient information
  • Answer and return patient phone calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Request and manage medical records for new patients
  • Track referrals, labs, and diagnoses to ensure timely follow-up care
  • Complete medication prior authorizations as needed
  • Assist providers with clinical procedures and patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system
  • Coordinate with providers and staff to support efficient patient flow
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
  • Support a positive, team-oriented work environment
