What You’ll Do

As a Medical Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations, handling clerical functions and delivering outstanding patient care.

Responsibilities include:

  • Room patients and prepare them for appointments
  • Record medical histories, vital signs, and patient information in the EHR
  • Assist providers during exams and in-office procedures
  • Administer injections, perform EKGs, wound care, and other clinical in-office testing as needed
  • Ensure exam rooms and clinical equipment remain clean, organized, fully stocked, and ready for patient care.
  • Schedule patient appointments, provide financial counseling, and verify insurance information.
  • Answer and triage phone calls, assist with patient referrals, and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Perform clerical duties such as processing paperwork, verifying patient information, and managing electronic files in systems like AthenaClinicals 

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in a clinic or medical office preferred
  • Current certification or comparable relevant experience required, including CPR certification (must be completed within two weeks of hire)

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to follow directions, manage time effectively, and handle stress in a clinical environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to navigate sensitive patient interactions with professionalism, empathy, and discretion.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting to 50 lbs.)
  • Ability to handle various physical demands in a busy clinical setting
