Are you a dedicated Medical Assistant with a passion for primary care and family medicine? We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to be an essential part of our outpatient team at the Naval Hospital Jacksonville. Compensation for this role is $20.11 per hour, complemented by competitive benefits including weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical coverage (W-2), a robust referral bonus program, paid sick leave according to applicable laws, and travel or licensure reimbursements when applicable. A dedicated support team is committed to your success throughout your assignment with VHS.
Key skills required for success include strong clinical abilities, excellent patient communication, attention to detail, and proficiency in documentation and diagnostic procedures. Candidates must hold current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants or registration with the American Medical Technologists, along with BLS certification. A minimum of one year of recent outpatient family practice or primary care experience is essential.
Nice-to-have skills encompass additional certifications, experience with electronic health records, or familiarity with military healthcare environments.
Preferred education includes graduation from an accredited medical assistant training program recognized by CAAHEP or ABHES, or completion of a formal military medical services training program. Candidates must possess current certification, such as CMA, RMA, or NCCT, and demonstrate excellent patient rapport and professional competencies.
Other requirements include availability to work Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with no more than seven days of planned time off within the first 90 days. All reference letters must be recent (within two years) and submitted with application.
