Required Skills:
Graduate of an accredited medical assistant training program (CAAHEP or ABHES accredited), or a formal military medical services training program
Current certification as a medical assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants, or registration by the American Medical Technologists or other approved certifying bodies
Minimum of one year of recent (within the last 3 years) outpatient family practice or primary care CMA experience
BLS certification
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients
Proficiency in vital signs measurement, patient history documentation, and routine diagnostic procedures
Ability to maintain clinical cleanliness and stock supplies efficiently
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare setting
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
Additional certifications such as CPR, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), or relevant specialties
Bilingual abilities to better serve diverse patient populations
Prior military healthcare experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
Graduate from an accredited medical assistant training program
At least one year of recent outpatient clinical experience as a CMA in primary care
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team environments and exhibit professionalism
Other Requirements:
Year-long contractual commitment with start date of 10/14/2024
Ability to work the hours of 0730 to 1600, Monday through Friday
No extensive time off within the first 90 days; any leave requests must be noted at submission and not exceed 7 days
Willingness to undergo any necessary clearances and comply with military and hospital policies
Valid licensure, certification, and relevant travel or reimbursement considerations as applicable
