Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA / RMA)
Location: Neptune City, NJ Duration: 43 Weeks Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Hours: 40 hours/week
Job Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to support providers in a pediatric outpatient setting. This role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities, focusing on delivering high-quality patient care, supporting medical staff during procedures, and ensuring efficient clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain exam and treatment rooms with required instruments and supplies
Room patients and assist in preparing them for provider evaluations
Accurately obtain and document vital signs in electronic medical records
Assist providers during examinations, treatments, and minor procedures
Administer immunizations in accordance with clinical guidelines
Perform diagnostic testing such as EKG, PFT, audiometry, and vision screening (upon competency validation)
Conduct lab-related procedures including phlebotomy, UDS, and other testing (after training)
Complete medication reconciliation and support clinical documentation workflows
Obtain patient histories and perform intake screening (in-person and via phone)
Coordinate scheduling for appointments, procedures, and follow-ups
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper EMR documentation
Monitor clinical supplies and maintain equipment readiness
Support front-office functions, including administrative and billing tasks as needed
Provide patient and family education on health maintenance and preventive care
Ensure adherence to HIPAA, infection control, and safety protocols
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
Deliver age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (preferred)
Strong clinical skills including patient rooming and vital signs
Prior experience in an outpatient or primary care setting preferred
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
Certifications
BLS (AHA required)
One of the following certifications required:
CMA (AAMA, NHA, NCCT, AMCA, NCMA)
RMA (AMT, NAHP)
