Ready to take your medical assistant career to the next level?

Medcor is currently looking for a Full-Time Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) to provide high-quality clinical care and administrative support in an employer based clinic setting in New York, NY. The clinic provides occupational health and urgent care services for a workplace population based in the entertainment industry. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 10am – 7pm, and the pay is $27 per hour. Full benefits are also offered!

The position’s responsibilities also include collaborative work with the medical and operational leadership at Medcor, onsite team, and key contacts within the client’s corporate structure. This position requires no weekend or on-call hours.

A typical day in the life of a Medcor Medical Assistant:

  • Provide superior customer service to clinic patients and Medcor’s client
  • Schedule appointments, greet patients, manage clinic traffic, and conduct follow up calls
  • Record keeping and running reports with state of the art electronic medical software
  • Assist with clinical exams, procedures, and labs
  • Inventory and stocking of supplies
  • Work collaboratively work with clinic staff, client staff, local medical providers

You Must

  • Have an active, Certified Medical Assistant Card (National Certification)
    • This is a test based certification, and does expire (please verify expiration date)
  • Have a current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification – need to provide proof of current certification.
  • Have a positive and outgoing personality
  • Be willing to go above and beyond to provide excellent customer service
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have exceptional computer and technology skills, including experience using an Electronic Health Record
  • Be comfortable working in a worksite clinic environment

It's a Plus If

  • You have a minimum of 2 years’ experience
