Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support healthcare providers in delivering high-quality patient care within assigned clinical areas. This role involves both clinical and administrative responsibilities, ensuring efficient patient flow and compliance with healthcare regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and diagnostic testing
  • Support treatment plans, dressing changes, and patient care activities under physician supervision
  • Perform patient intake, including vital signs and medical history documentation
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR/EMR)
  • Handle appointment scheduling, patient registration, and demographic updates
  • Conduct insurance verification and eligibility checks
  • Manage referral processing and medical necessity documentation
  • Support billing functions, including copay collection and payment posting
  • Provide excellent customer service via inbound and outbound calls
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, TJC, CLIA, NCQA, and other regulatory standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • Strong knowledge of clinical workflows and patient care procedures
  • Experience with EPIC or similar EHR/EMR systems
  • Excellent communication, multitasking, and time management skills
  • Proficiency in data entry and scheduling software

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in front desk operations and call center support
  • Strong understanding of insurance processes and billing support
  • Ability to handle high patient volume in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills
