Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308 Duration: 7+ Weeks (Contract, with possibility of extension)
Shift:
Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Work Setting: Onsite
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support both front and back office operations in a clinical setting. This role requires a hands-on professional who can provide high-quality patient care while ensuring smooth day-to-day clinic operations. Strong collaboration with clinical and administrative staff is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and room patients while ensuring a positive patient experience
Schedule appointments and manage incoming calls
Record vital signs and update patient medical information
Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures
Administer vaccines and assist with clinical procedures
Conduct EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Support both front-office and back-office operations as needed
Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (in addition to externship)
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification (required/preferred based on facility standards)
Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
Hands-on experience with phlebotomy/venipuncture and EMR systems
Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills
High attention to detail and ability to multitask
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Occupational Health settings
Prior experience in both front-office and back-office clinical operations

Patient rooming and vital signs measurement
