The Staff Pad is excited to partner with a reputed hospital in Blue Ridge, GA to hire a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join a thriving Orthopedic Clinic team.
As a Medical Assistant, you’ll help ensure smooth clinic operations through clerical support and exceptional patient care.
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities
- Room patients, verify patient information and prepare them for appointments
- Record medical histories, vital signs, and patient information in the EHR
- Assist providers during exams and in-office procedures
- Administer injections, perform EKGs, provide wound care, and conduct required in-office testing
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam rooms and clinical equipment
- Schedule appointments, provide financial counseling, and verify insurance information
- Answer and triage calls, assist with referrals, and ensure timely follow-up
- Perform clerical tasks, process paperwork and managing electronic files in AthenaClinicals
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Accredited Medical Assisting program graduate preferred
- At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in a clinic or medical office experience preferred
- Current MA certification or equivalent experience required; CPR certification required within two weeks of hire
Additional Requirements
- Ability to follow directions, manage time, and work effectively under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with professionalism, empathy, and discretion
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
