We are seeking a detail-oriented, compassionate, and skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Heart & Vascular Institute - Elizabeth team. This role plays an essential part in supporting our providers, delivering high-quality patient care, and ensuring efficient clinical operations within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What We're Looking For:
Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including: • CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) • CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA) • RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT) • American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA) • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) • American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement, required.
Experience: Previous work in a medical office, preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required. Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required.
Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
What You'll Do:
Prepare patients for cardiac and vascular appointments by obtaining vitals, performing EKGs, and updating medical histories.
Clinical Support and Testing.
Keep patients informed about their visit, testing processes, and next steps for care.

Partner closely with cardiologists, vascular surgeons, nurses, and sonographers to deliver coordinated care.
