Summit Home Health Care is looking for full-time Certified Home Health Aides to work a Monday through Friday schedule.
Job Duties:
Personal Care Services Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) Bathing, grooming, dressing Toileting and incontinence care Mobility and transfers Meal preparation and feeding assistance Light housekeeping related to patient care Companionship and safety supervision
Experience: Home Care or Healthcare Setting Experience/Prior work in: Nursing homes or assisted living facilities Hospitals or rehabilitation centers Experience providing one-on-one care in a client's home (highly valued)
Basic Clinical Skills: Measuring and reporting vital signs Recognizing and reporting changes in patient condition Infection control and proper use of PPE Safe body mechanics and fall prevention
Specialized Care Experience (Preferred): Depending on the client population: Dementia or Alzheimer's care Disability or developmental support Post-surgical or post-hospitalization care Chronic illness care (diabetes, mobility impairments)
Communication & Documentation Experience: Clear verbal communication with clients, families, and supervisors Basic documentation of care activities Following care plans and agency protocols Reporting incidents or concerns promptly Reliability and punctuality Compassion, patience, and empathy Respect for client privacy and dignity (HIPAA awareness) Ability to work independently in home settings Cultural sensitivity
Certifications & Compliance Experience: State-approved HHA certification CPR / First Aid certification TB screening Background check clearance Physical exam and immunizations Valid ID and work authorization
Education: High School Diploma
