    Part Time position, M-F, 12:30 PM - 5:30 PM Definition: Under the supervision of the Charter School Principal and Assistant Principal, the Certified Nurse Assistant will assist the School Nurse on the day to day health operations of the Charter School. Qualification: High School graduate or equivalent required. CNA certification required. Bilingual: English/Spanish required Responsibilities: Performs and administers routine first aid procedures; attends to sick and injured students. Maintains a variety of health-related records both manual and electronic (e.g., confidential student health records, emergency medical records, accident reports, health and disability records, medication records, etc.) for the purpose of providing information required by regulatory requirements. May administer various forms of medication upon prior parental/physician authorization. Ensure school environment is safe for children and school staff Ensure compliance with national and local health laws Contacts parents regarding the student''s health or emotional needs. Completing medical paperwork, when necessary Attending various school meetings Supports student health services including health screenings, such as lice referrals, mandated audio, visual, and dental screenings in compliance with state and district regulations. Supports management of emergency supply inventory and distribution of kits. Facilitates toileting assistance for students as needed. Other duties as assigned.
