Royal Automotive Group has a unique opportunity as a Certified Body Technician.
This role is responsible for mending damaged vehicles and making the necessary repairs. The Body Technician will be working in tandem with our Estimators to ensure all needs are communicated and executed correctly.
Certified Body Technician Responsibilities
- Repairs vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards.
- Checks parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received.
- Prepares vehicles for body repair work.
- Notifies Body Shop Estimator of any additional supplement parts or repairs needed.
- Notifies management and Body Shop Estimator of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time.
- Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
- Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials.
- Reports any deviations to management.
- Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
- Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Certified Body Technician Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Certified in Specific Car brands
- At least 5 years experience. Working as a standalone body technician preferred.
- Must be I-CAR Certified / along with Steel Welding certificate
- Must have a passion and aptitude for collision repair technologies
- Must have an impressive work ethic
- Neat, clean, and professional appearance
- Must have an unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be able to operate a standard-transmission vehicle
