    At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, our Sterile Processing team plays a critical role in patient safety and surgical excellence. We're seeking a detail-oriented Central Sterile Processing Technician to ensure all surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and ready for use.

    What You'll Do

    • Collect, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and supplies
    • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble equipment following manufacturer instructions and aseptic techniques
    • Operate sterilization equipment and ensure all sterilization parameters are met and documented
    • Inspect instruments for functionality and completeness; replace as needed
    • Assemble procedure trays, case carts, and emergency carts accurately
    • Fulfill supply and equipment requests (electronic, verbal, or written) in a timely manner
    • Support emergency and urgent requests with efficiency and accuracy
    • Maintain clean, organized, and compliant work areas
    • Collaborate with clinical teams to support optimal patient care

    What You Bring

    • Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control, and workflow processes
    • Experience with instrument cleaning, inspection, and assembly
    • Familiarity with surgical instruments and supply sets preferred
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills

    Experience

    • Minimum 2 years of experience in Sterile Processing, Central Service, or Operating Room preferred

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
    • Current certification through HSPA or CBSPD required
    • Ability to obtain LA City Fire Card within 30 days of hire

    Key Responsibilities

    Assembly & Sterilization:

    • Assemble instrument trays and sterilize equipment per established procedures
    • Perform cleaning and decontamination using proper techniques and equipment
    • Ensure all sterilization documentation is complete and accurate

    Distribution & Inventory:

    • Deliver and restock supplies and equipment
    • Process and fulfill requisitions and urgent requests

    Standards & Compliance:

    • Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
    • Ensure all work meets or exceeds quality expectations

    Teamwork & Operations:

    • Support department operations and collaborate with leadership and peers
    • Maintain professional, positive working relationships
