Position available for 2026-2027 School Year - 4 Day School Week

Primary Purpose:

Under moderate supervision, respond to inquiries from staff, students, parents, and the public; provide requested information and/or referral to the appropriate parties; direct visitors; and provide general clerical support for the efficient operation of the central administration office.

Education/CertificatioQualifications:

High school diploma or GED

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Ability to operate multi-line phone system

Effective public relations, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to speak, read, and understand English

Ability to read and comprehend instructions

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations

Proficient in keyboarding, 10-key numerical data entry, and file maintenance

Bilingual preferred

Experience:

3 years of clerical experience in an office setting

School experience preferred

Pay Scale: AIS 4, salary based on experience

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Reception and Phones

  1. Receive and direct incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.

  2. Greet visitors (e.g. public, parents, students, substitutes, vendors, etc.) respond to their inquiries and/or direct them to appropriate personnel in accordance with district policies and procedures regarding building security.

  3. Maintain visitor log.

  4. Assist in the disseminating timely and accurate information during emergency situations, and ability to follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.

  5. Receive deliveries and disseminate materials and information to the appropriate parties.

Records, Reports, and Correspondence

  1. Prepare correspondence, forms, reports, manuals, and presentations for the District of

Communications and other department staff members

  1. Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required.

  2. Perform routine bookkeeping tasks and maintain department budget records. Prepare and process department purchase orders and payment authorizations.

  3. Order and maintain inventory of office supplies and program equipment. Answer incoming calls and greet visitors.

  4. Manage the Open Records/Public Information Act inbox and process request to ensure departmental compliance

  5. Help maintain and coordinate the comprehensive school district calendar and Director''s professional schedule.

Communications/Administrative Support/Education Foundation

  1. Assists Director of Communications in tasks involving district communications, administrative support and Education Foundation.

  2. Expected to attend all Education Foundation meetings, including those held outside of stand business hours.

  3. Assist in coordinating and executing events for the district, including the end-of-year celebration, convocation and other community programs.

  4. Assist with content creation and distribution to be used on social media, websites, emails, and other communications platforms.

Other

  1. Provide clerical assistance as needed.

  2. Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required.

  3. Maintain confidentiality.
