Job Summary:

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Career Technical Training Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Instructor is responsible for delivering highquality, hands-on and classroom instruction to students enrolled in the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant program. This includes teaching essential clinical skills such as vital signs, EKG, and phlebotomy, while preparing students for national certification and entry-level healthcare careers.

Job Duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide classroom and clinical instruction in vital signs, electrocardiograms (EKG), and phlebotomy as part of the CCMA curriculum.
• Deliver classroom and hands-on lab instruction based on the CCMA curriculum, following established guidelines and standards.
• Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and lab activities in alignment with programming requirements and student needs.
• Provide individual and group instruction to help students develop the clinical, administrative, and professional skills necessary for employment.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress; maintain accurate records including attendance, performance, and certification readiness.
• Prepare students for national CCMA certification through the National Health career Association (NHA) or equivalent certifying body.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom and clinical lab environment.
• Incorporate the Career Success Standards and employability training into daily instruction and student interactions.
• Provide mentorship and career guidance to students, including work-based learning sites coordination and job readiness.
• Ensure program compliance with all Job Corps, DOL, and accrediting agency requirements.


LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY
• Performs work under general supervision.
• Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter
• Provide leadership, coaching and/or mentoring.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Certification. No substitutions.
• One (1) year of experience in a related field.
• License of Practical Nurse issued by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
• Must possess and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification.
• Valid Driver’s License with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS
The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).


Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.

Hours are 7:45am to 4:45pm
