Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary

The Reporting Specialist will oversee development of data sets, reports, dashboards, and data extracts to support administrative operations at Del Mar College. This role will be involved in the ongoing development and support of the organizational data strategy and will interface with data units around the College to develop institutional data sets, reports, and analytics for stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree.

Two (2) years relevant work experience.

Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Ability to problem solve.

Strong working knowledge and experience loading and presenting formatted data with Microsoft Excel.

Experience with relational databases.

Efficient, detail oriented, self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines and work well with a minimal of supervision.

Strong team orientation with good time management skills focused on deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

Job Duties

Job Duty

Collaborates with College stakeholders to develop and maintain reports to support data-based decision making, performs analyses of report data to provide meaningful and accurate information, and assists in the development of data objects to support complex reporting needs.

Job Duty

Develops reports using a variety of institutional data originating from multiple sources, including the College's Student Information Systems (SIS), financial systems, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and other repositories.

Job Duty

Confers with staff to determine and analyze needs, define business processes, make recommendations, and provide design and development reporting in support of changing needs and priorities using project management cycle standards.

Job Duty

Collaborate with instructors, coordinators, directors, and deans to resolve data management processes and procedures.

Job Duty

Perform routine administrative and office support tasks to maintain organized operations.

Job Duty

Provide customer service to students, staff, and the public regarding CE data structures and reporting systems.

Job Duty

Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with institutional policies and procedures.

Job Duty

Maintain student confidentiality, and confidentiality of student case records other information related to the clients served in the grant.
