The Team

As a CDM Consultant you will work directly with healthcare customers to maintain and manage the hospital chargemaster and provide chargemaster expertise.

You Will Be

  • Assuming the charge master role (CDM Outsource) to support customer resource needs
  • Reviewing departmental CDM requests to confirm completeness and accuracy
  • Creating CDM in accordance with hospital policy and Patient Accounting System requirements
  • Ensuring appropriate entry of CDMs into Patient Accounting System via scripting or manual entry
  • Communicating concerns effectively regarding CDM irregularities, policy or procedural opportunities, and compliance issues
  • Reviewing CDM line items to ensure accurate and compliant coding
  • Participating in revenue cycle assessments, if applicable, to ensure timely completion of engagements
  • Participating in CDM reviews, if applicable, to ensure timely completion of engagements

You Will Bring

  • 5-7 years' CDM maintenance experience
  • Experience working with commonly used financial systems and transaction processing systems such as EPIC, McKesson, Cerner, Meditech, Paragon, CPSI, GE, and Siemens
  • CPC, COC or CCS certification
  • Hand on experience maintaining and updating hospital CDM
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of healthcare services, health information technology, regulatory requirements, clinical data management, project management
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Dedication to staying current with industry changes and advances
  • Microsoft Office and associated Craneware applications (Chargemaster Toolkit/Trisus Chargemaster, Online Reference Toolkit/Trisus Reference, Supplies Assistant/Trisus Supplies Assistant)
  • Demonstrates a high level of commitment to superior customer satisfaction through the entire duration of the customer relationship · Highly accountable and results oriented, burning desire to get things done and a sense of urgency, resourceful with excellent planning skills
