Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking professional CDL Class A or Class B Drivers to deliver storage containers to residential and commercial customers throughout the Little Rock area. This local driving position offers consistent work, competitive pay, and the benefit of being home every night.

Required Experience & Skills
Valid CDL Class A or Class B License required
Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
Must pass FMCSA Clearinghouse requirements
No preventable accidents
Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
Professional appearance and positive attitude
Strong communication and customer service skills
Detail-oriented with a commitment to safety
Ability to professionally resolve customer concerns and delivery challenges
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Safely operate company vehicles and delivery equipment
Deliver storage containers to residential and commercial customer locations
Complete thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Properly secure all loads before transport
Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies
Provide outstanding customer service throughout the delivery process
Complete required delivery paperwork and documentation accurately
Evaluate delivery sites for safe container placement
Explain delivery limitations when necessary and recommend safe placement alternatives
Work independently or as part of a two-driver team with shared driving responsibilities
Training & Probation
Complete 1 2 weeks of specialized training before working independently
90-day probationary period with performance evaluations based on:

  • Safety

  • Attendance

  • Professionalism

  • Customer service

  • Reliability

  • Overall job performance

Compensation within the stated pay range will be determined by experience, qualifications, and performance during the probationary period.
Delivery Process
Containers are staged outside the warehouse and ready for pickup
Forklift operators load each truck before departure
Drivers secure the load and deliver to customer locations
Drivers are not required to enter the warehouse
Facility tour provided during onboarding
Customer Service Expectations
Drivers are the face of the company and interact directly with customers throughout the delivery process. Successful candidates must be able to:

Communicate professionally with customers at every stop
Handle concerns calmly and courteously
Explain why containers cannot safely be placed in certain locations due to:

  • Steep hills

  • Soft ground

  • Tight access points

  • Overhead obstacles

  • Other safety concerns

Recommend safe alternative placement options while maintaining excellent customer service
Dress Code
Polo shirt
Nice work pants or appropriate shorts
Tennis shoes or appropriate work footwear
Gloves provided by the company
Physical Requirements
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
Frequent climbing in and out of trucks, walking, bending, reaching, and securing loads throughout the workday
Ability to safely work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Comfortable performing physically demanding delivery work while wearing appropriate PPE and work attire
Work Environment
Local residential and commercial delivery routes throughout the Little Rock area
Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
Frequent interaction with customers at delivery locations
