Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable CDL Driver / Yard Associate to join a growing manufacturing team in Sapulpa. This position combines local CDL driving and yard operations, with approximately 50% of the workday spent driving and the remaining time supporting warehouse and yard activities.
The ideal candidate has a valid CDL, forklift experience, and enjoys working in both transportation and material handling while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and accuracy.
Required Experience & Skills
Valid CDL License required
Knowledge of DOT regulations and proper load securement procedures
Previous forklift operating experience required
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to complete paperwork accurately and maintain required documentation
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Operate a CDL vehicle for local deliveries and pickups only
Secure loads in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies
Unload trucks and verify incoming materials in the yard
Count and match inventory against packing lists and invoices
Assist with inventory tracking and organization of materials throughout the yard
Package and palletize materials for shipment
Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
Complete delivery records, shipping documentation, and required paperwork accurately
Follow all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and quality procedures
Collaborate with warehouse personnel and supervisors to support daily operations
Preferred Qualifications
Previous warehouse or yard operations experience
Inventory control or logistics experience
Experience working in manufacturing, steel distribution, or industrial environments
Strong organizational and communication skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and repetitive physical activity throughout the shift
Ability to safely operate forklifts, commercial vehicles, and material handling equipment while wearing required PPE
Comfortable working outdoors in a yard environment and around industrial equipment
Work Environment
Combination of local driving, warehouse, and outdoor yard operations
Fast-paced industrial environment supporting manufacturing and shipping operations
Exposure to forklifts, commercial trucks, heavy materials, and varying weather conditions
