Job Title:
CDL Driver (Bucket Truck)/ Electrician Helper
Position Overview:
Wesworth Electric is seeking a skilled and reliable CDL Driver (Bucket Truck)/Electrician Helper to join our team. This position requires an individual with a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) to operate bucket trucks safely and assist electricians with various tasks in commercial and industrial electrical projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- CDL Driver Duties:
- Safely operate bucket trucks and other commercial vehicles to and from job sites.
- Ensure vehicles are maintained, inspected, and compliant with DOT regulations.
- Load, secure, and transport materials and equipment as required.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any vehicle issues.
- Electrician Helper Duties:
- Assist electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems.
- Handle tools, materials, and equipment as directed by the lead electrician or supervisor.
- Perform basic tasks such as running conduit, pulling wire, and mounting electrical devices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions as required.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure tools are in good working order.
- Additional Duties:
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient project completion.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Support the team with any additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating bucket trucks or similar equipment is preferred.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in the electrical or construction field is a plus.
Work Environment:
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work at heights using a bucket truck and other equipment.
- Flexibility to work overtime or travel to job sites as needed.
