We are hiring CDL-A drivers for a semi-local dedicated retail account based in Lansing, MI. This position offers strong weekly pay, consistent miles, and frequent home time with only 2–3 nights out per week.

Position Details:

  • Location: Lansing, MI
  • Secondary location: Pleasant Prairie, WI
  • Operating states: MI, IL, IN, OH, WI
  • Home time: Out 2–3 nights per week
  • Schedule: 5-day work week with 2 consecutive days off
  • Start time: 2:00 AM
  • Average miles/week: ~2,500
  • Average stops: 4

Pay & Compensation:

Regional Runs (75% of work – 200+ miles):

  • Starting: $0.63 CPM
  • 1 year: $0.645 CPM
  • 3 years: $0.66 CPM
  • Stop pay: $20 per stop

Local Runs (25% of work – under 200 miles):

  • Starting: $0.725 CPM
  • 1 year: $0.735 CPM
  • 3 years: $0.745 CPM
  • Stop pay: $30 per stop

Additional Pay:

  • Backhaul pay: $30 per stop
  • Breakdown pay: $25/hour after 2 hours (up to $300/day)
  • Safety/hourly pay: $20/hour
  • Weekly reliability bonus: $100

Earnings:

  • Average annual pay: $84,000 – $90,000

Freight & Equipment:

  • Dedicated retail deliveries to ~40 stores
  • 85–90% Chicago suburb runs (no downtown Chicago)
  • Shuttle runs between MI and WI
  • Backhauls required returning to Lansing
  • 85% drop & hook
  • No-touch freight
  • Equipment: sleeper tractors, 45'–53' trailers
  • Trucks remain at account during home time

Schedule & Additional Info:

  • Some holidays required if scheduled
  • Route variety increases with tenure
  • Semi-local with frequent home time

Training & Orientation:

  • Training: approximately 3 days (paid mileage and stop pay)
  • Paid online orientation
  • Orientation location: Tipp City, OH

Requirements:

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Minimum 3 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
  • Must meet DOT and safety requirements
  • Must obtain Hazmat endorsement within 90 days (reimbursed)
  • Reliable attendance required
