CDL-A Drivers | $80,000-$145,000 | $5,000 Sign-On + $10,000 Relocation Package

If you're an experienced CDL-A driver who wants more than just another route, this is your shot. McLane is opening a brand-new Distribution Center in Salt Lake City, and we're assembling the founding driver team. These are the drivers who will set the standard, shape the culture, and be part of the launch from day one. You'll hire on and train in Merced, CA with our veteran drivers, then relocate to Salt Lake City with full company support to help bring a new operation online.

The Path: How This Role Works
  • Hire & Train in Merced, CA
  • Learn McLane systems, routes, safety standards, and expectations alongside seasoned drivers.
  • Relocate to Salt Lake City, UT
  • Once training is complete, you'll transition to Salt Lake City to support the opening of our new DC.
  • Be Part of a Startup Team
  • Help build routes, establish best practices, and support customers as the operation launches.
  • This isn't a temporary travel assignment; this is a career move.

What You'll Do
  • Safely operate tractor-trailers on highways and customer sites
  • Inspect equipment and complete DOT inspection reports
  • Verify bills of lading and delivery documentation
  • Maintain accurate driver logs (manual or electronic)
  • Unload products and deliver safely to customer locations
  • Represent McLane with professionalism and a safety-first mindset

Who We're Looking For
  • 21 years or older
  • Valid CDL-A
  • 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer experience
  • Clean MVR meeting McLane safety standards
  • Willingness to relocate to Salt Lake City after training
  • Safety-minded, dependable, and ready to be part of something new
