Job Description
Dedicated drivers enjoy the many privileges that come with having consistent customers. Unlike some driver positions, this one gives you a better idea of the number of miles and hours each week holds, which means you'll have a better idea of what to expect in every paycheck. And because you know your customers and their typical freight load, you'll never be surprised or slowed down by unusual shipments.
Competitive pay:
Average $1,655 per week/$86,060 per year
Starting pay is .65 cpm
Average 1,900 miles per week with 1,600 minimum miles GUARANTEED!
Stop pay of $30 per stop
Average 14 stops per week
Average stop is 30 min.
If tarping is required, an additional $10 per stop = $40 per stop pay
Detention, breakdown and layover pay available
Shifts are consistent
Driver will pull out early Monday morning between 4 and 10 a.m.
Will typically be out Monday night home Tuesday night. Out again Wednesday morning arriving back home sometime on Thursday
Occasionally will run local Friday depending on freight levels.
Required to make appointments 12 hours in advance of the deliveries for each customer
Deliver building material dry wall, lumber, etc. to retail and non-retail locations (some palletized) in Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky and Indiana
Strap each load, straps provided
Tarp in inclement weather only
If tarping is required, an additional $10 per stop = $40 per stop pay
Provided hard hats and vests must be worn when out of the truck on the property
Steel toe shoes required, driver will need to purchase
No touch freight, live unload

Job Requirements
Must live within a 100-mile radius
Must have 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years
Drivers must have a Class A CDL
Must be 21 years of age
No convictions for reckless driving within the past 5 years
No convictions for DUI or DWI within the past 5 years
No suspensions or revocations for a moving violation within the past 5 years
No serious violations within previous 12 months (15 mph or greater, following too closely, improper passing, traffic offense committed in a CMV in connection with a fatality)
No more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years
No preventable DOT recordable accidents within the past 3 years
Essential functions:
Load freight - lift requirement: 80 lbs
Unload freight - lift requirement: 80 lbs
Move freight - force requirement: 54 lbs
Lift and move side kits - lift requirements: 46 lbs
Lift tarp - lift requirement: 110 lbs
Apply and remove tarp(s) on load
Secure load with chains and hardware - lift requirements: 80 lbs
Climb onto and off of the flatbed trailer/load
Count freight
Complete fuel tickets
Complete delivery receipt
Hook/Unhook trailer - force requirement: 90 lbs
Perform pre-trip inspections
Drive
Extensive travel - ability to sit upright for extended periods of time
