Responsible for carrying out the lesson plans of the teacher for whom he/she is substituting and meeting the duties of teaching as outlined in district policies. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.

Qualifications
High School Graduate and Sucessful Completion of CCISD TET/Child Guidance Program
Must be 18 years of age.
Education
High School Diploma and TEA Aide Certification
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Other:
Completion of district substitute orientation
Substitutes must be fingerprinted and are required to pass the background check. Employment with Clear Creek ISD is based on having an acceptable criminal history.
Major Responsibilities and Duties
Instructional Strategies:
Follow lesson plans left by the teacher for whom he/she is substituting in accordance with the district's philosophy, goals, and objectives.
Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated
Classroom Management and Organization:
Establish and maintain order in the classroom
Maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning
Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, materials, equipment, and facilities
Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and school Board Policies
Communications:
Cooperate with school personnel
Report to the principal or his/her designee at the beginning and end of the school day
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None

Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
