Job Title: Cath Lab Technician (Cardiac Cath Lab Tech)

Schedule
- Shift: Day Shift
- Timing: 7:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Hours: 4x10-hour shifts (40 hours/week)
- Weekend Requirement: As needed
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technician to support invasive cardiac procedures in a high-acuity, fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in hemodynamic monitoring, interventional cardiology procedures, and advanced cardiac support devices such as Impella and intra-aortic balloon pump systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
- Prepare and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures
- Operate and maintain Cath Lab equipment and imaging systems
- Accurately obtain, calculate, and analyze hemodynamic data
- Maintain procedural documentation, logs, and downtime records
- Verify patient identification, consent, and ensure compliance with documentation standards
- Scrub and assist in procedures including LHC, RHC, PTCA, stents, PTCRA, PTMR, and TEC
- Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control protocols
- Monitor equipment functionality and report issues or safety concerns
- Prepare procedure rooms and manage inventory, including supply expiration tracking
- Educate patients on procedures and post-procedure care
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience
- Hands-on experience with Impella and balloon pump (IABP) systems
- Strong knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and Cath Lab workflows
- Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with permanent pacemaker placement
- Familiarity with Mac Lab and Epic systems
Certifications & Licensure
- BLS certification (required)
- Radiology certification (required)
- IABP certification (required)
- Monitor Technician Certification / Annual Telemetry Review (required)
