Summary: A Catering Sales Manager targets and coordinates catering sales efforts. The primary responsibility include booking, selling, planning and coordinating all events while assuring the highest level of customer service. Duties and Responsibilities: - Transmits and receives telephone messages and emails
- Books and confirms conference space by writing proposals and contracts
- Meets with customers to plan function details such as space requirements, timelines, catering requirements, AV requirements, and room set-up.
- Designs specific floorplan for each event.
- Creates BEOs and distributes to relevant staff
- Attends F&B meetings weekly.
- Totals charges at end of events to verify sales, gratuity and service charges and event billing.
- Attends pre-con and post-con meetings for large events.
- Helps in the design and content of banquet menus
- Calls on prospects to solicit business, analyzes requirements of function, outlines available facilities and services offered and quotes prices
- Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database
- Provides tours of the facility and tastings of menu options
- Develops and maintains relationships with customers
- Attends Bridal shows and other trade shows and events
- Investigate and resolves food quality and service complaints
- Report to maintenance needed repairs or unsafe conditions
- Proactively enhances a positive facility image
- Assist in performing sales and/or banquet duties
- Perform other duties as assigned
