The Catering & Outside Sales Manager is responsible for leading and growing our catering operation through sales development, operational excellence, team development, and exceptional guest service. This role requires strong leadership, project management, organization, and communication skills to ensure every catering order is delivered accurately, on time, and with the level of hospitality our guests expect.
Success in this role is measured through catering sales growth, operational execution, guest satisfaction, team member development, food safety, and on-time delivery performance.
Catering & Outside Sales Manager Responsibilities
Catering Operations
- Oversee all catering operations from order placement through successful delivery and execution.
- Ensure catering orders are prepared accurately, safely, and delivered on time.
- Coordinate and manage multiple catering events and projects simultaneously.
- Create systems and processes that support efficient catering execution.
- Ensure all catering food meets Chick-fil-A standards for quality, freshness, and presentation.
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards throughout preparation, transportation, and delivery.
- Monitor catering performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
Outside Sales & Brand Growth
- Develop and execute strategies to grow catering sales within the community.
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, schools, churches, healthcare organizations, and community partners.
- Represent Chick-fil-A professionally at networking events, community functions, and sales opportunities.
- Identify new business opportunities and generate recurring catering sales.
- Follow up with catering guests to ensure satisfaction and cultivate long-term partnerships.
- Serve as a brand ambassador within the community.
Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, train, and develop catering team members.
- Lead and coach team members to deliver exceptional hospitality and operational excellence.
- Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and development opportunities for team members.
- Lead by example and establish high standards for professionalism and guest service.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous leadership, management, or supervisory experience required.
- Experience in catering, restaurant operations, hospitality, sales, event coordination, or project management strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop team members.
- Strong relationship-building and networking abilities.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
- Back-of-house restaurant experience strongly preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Clean driving record required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with catering setup and delivery as needed.
- Open availability, including occasional evenings and weekends.
