Job Summary Provides food, beverages, and equipment for special events. Gathers all food and supplies, transports and sets up food service events, and assists in clean-up after events. Monitors and maintains quality control of food and equipment, restocking supplies, and cleaning and sanitizing food service areas.
Key Responsibilities • Displays strong customer service skills and the ability to work under stressful conditions. • Possesses creative skills to attractively present food items. • Exhibits good listening skills, effectively communicating with supervisors, co-workers, customers, and staff. • Demonstrates ability to follow written and oral directions. • Establishes effective working relationships with co-workers and staff. • Maintains quality control standards. • Operates equipment such as but not limited to: • Cold holding equipment • Hot holding equipment • Beverage machines • Catering tables and carts • Convection and combination ovens • Dish washing machines
Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • Possesses ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions. • Ability to perform basic math. • Depending upon location, applying for a minimum of two years experience in a catering environment preferred. • On-the-job training will be provided. • Depending on location, may be required to have a current valid drivers license and meet all medical guidelines for Sanford Health Category III drivers.
