Position Overview:

We are looking for a Fungicide Category Manager to join our team!  As a Category Manager at our SiteOne Landscape Supply, you will be responsible for managing an assigned group of products and supporting others.

 

You will be the one responsible for all aspects of the assigned product group, with an emphasis on organic growth.

 

Building strong relationships with field sales, who manage 700 branch locations, is critical to success for the Fungicide Category Manager. It’s similarly important to develop strong relationships with vendor partners and other departments within SiteOne’s Field Support teams. A forward-thinking mindset as well as an ability to interpret consumers' wants and needs and will also be part of your duties.

 

Hybrid Schedule: Primarily remote, with an expectation to work in-office 1–2 days per week at our Roswell, GA location.

 

Travel: Up to 15%, including trade shows, company meetings, and site visits.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Own all aspects of the SiteOne Fungicide category, supporting field teams, suppliers, and field support teams
  • Develop and implement plans to drive sales of key products and overall category
  • Support seasonal planning to align inventory, pricing, and marketing during peak selling time periods
  • Research and analyze data and market insights
  • Search for insights into consumer needs and wants at it pertains to the Fungicides and/or Turf & Ornamental market
  • Plan and implement short-term and long-term strategies for product categories, including making strong contributions to the larger category’s goals
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with supplier partners
  • Advise & ensure timely product availability for field teams and customers
  • Strategize positioning of a product category to maximize its visibility
  • Accountable for the on-going product life cycle management, including ownership of new product launches
  • Maintain clear and open communications between internal and external stakeholders to focus on product strategy, relevance, profitability, and quality
  • Collaborate and lead cross functional teams that include marketing, supply chain, and finance amongst others
  • Research competitors and suggest appropriate pricing and promotional activities
  • Support supply chain teams in calculating forecasts for product demand trends
  • Execute daily product enhancements for ecommerce, internal software, and pricing teams
  • Build a reliable brand as a team player who is accessible to others and looked upon as a subject matter expert
Skills We Are Seeking::

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, turfgrass or horticulture
  • 8+ years’ experience in turf and ornamental markets
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, written and verbal
  • Proven experience with product management and gaining buy-in from cross-functional leaders
  • Experience leading change for internal and external teams
  • Understanding of building trusting relationships with suppliers
  • Proven ability to break down reporting and present key insights
  • Ability to prioritize high volume, competing priorities across multiple functions
  • Humble, servant-leader work mentality
  • Experience building and scaling capabilities within a large, matrixed organization
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with, excel, word, outlook, and PowerBI, SQL a plus
