Job Details and Requirements Section
1. Explain what the scope of the work/project is? Project Overview, deliverables (what is this person responsible for).
This role supports sourcing and contracting efforts for battery storage initiatives. The primary focus is split into two key areas:
1. Contracting & Negotiation: Managing and negotiating a variety of agreements, including master service agreements and project-specific contracts. This individual will help drive negotiations and ensure successful execution across multiple workstreams.
2. Strategic Sourcing Events: Leading and supporting RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs expected later this year and into next. This includes owning the full lifecycle of sourcing events from planning and execution through evaluation and contract award.
Candidates should have strong familiarity with structured sourcing methodologies (e.g., seven-step sourcing process) and be comfortable owning sourcing events end-to-end.
2. What does a typical day look like?
A typical day involves managing multiple contracts at various stages, collaborating with internal stakeholders on sourcing strategies, and supporting or leading RFX events. The role requires balancing strategic planning with execution reviewing contract terms, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring alignment with category strategies. Attention to detail is critical, as the individual will often be handling multiple agreements and sourcing events simultaneously.
6. Describe work environment / team culture (supportive/collaborative, teamwork or individual contributor)?
8. Can you elaborate on any potential risks or safety considerations associated with this role, particularly if the responsibilities extend beyond a standard desk or office environment?
There are no significant safety risks associated with this role. Work is primarily office-based within a hybrid environment, with standard IT equipment provided
10. What are the work hours/shift (standard, evening, full time/part time, OT required, on-call for 24/7 operation)?
Standard full-time business hours. Hybrid schedule with onsite expectation Tuesday Thursday and remote work on Mondays and Fridays.
