This position plays a vital role in supporting clinical operations by managing the contract process for critical service lines, including Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology. Job Description:
This is a strategic, non-purchasing supply chain role focused on contract management. The Category Administrator will work closely with internal stakeholders, including clinical leaders and physicians, to assess supply and equipment needs, structure contracts, and manage vendor partnerships. While not involved in purchase orders, this position ensures the organization has contracts in place to enable efficient procurement across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with internal teams to understand service line needs and develop sourcing strategies.
- Lead end-to-end contract management for 30–50 supplier agreements.
- Analyze vendor proposals and data to identify value and cost savings.
- Drive vendor negotiations and ensure alignment with compliance, finance, and legal standards.
- Support system-wide standardization efforts and GPO contract maximization.
- Contribute to cross-functional teams and committees as a contract subject matter expert.
- Provide regular updates on sourcing activity to leadership.
- Mentor analysts or coordinators as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of supply chain or purchasing experience in healthcare.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required.
- Experience in Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology is highly preferred.
- Contract negotiation and vendor management experience is a strong plus.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and working with various stakeholders.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a highly collaborative team.
Additional Details:
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour workdays with flexible start/end times
- Core Hours: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Interview Process:
- Initial interview with hiring manager (virtual or onsite)
- Final onsite panel interview (same day as Step 1 when possible)
- Reporting To: Director of Strategic Sourcing
