Our client, a well-established Property & Casualty insurance carrier, is seeking an experienced Casualty Claims Manager to join its Claims leadership team in the greater Tennessee region. This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned claims professional to oversee casualty operations, mentor a high-performing team, and drive strategic initiatives that support operational excellence and quality claim outcomes. This leadership role will oversee a team of claims examiners handling moderate to complex auto bodily injury claims from cradle to grave, ensuring claims are investigated, evaluated, and resolved accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of casualty claims professionals, ensuring high levels of performance, accountability, and professional growth.
Oversee day-to-day casualty claims operations while maintaining strong financial stewardship and supporting department performance objectives.
Monitor claim quality through regular file reviews, coaching, and internal audit processes to ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
Provide guidance on complex bodily injury and casualty exposures, assisting the team with claim strategy, negotiations, and resolution planning.
Facilitate claim review meetings and collaborate with senior leadership on significant loss exposures and complex claim decisions.
Analyze operational performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, claim handling consistency, and overall customer experience.
Requirements
5 - 10+ years of handling Casualty / Bodily Injury claims, including at least 2 years of leadership or management experience.
Strong background handling casualty and bodily injury claims, including oversight of complex claim investigations and resolutions.
Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and organizational skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
Proficiency with claims management systems and Microsoft Office.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
