Pay is based upon experience. We are looking for experienced line cooks with at least up to one year of experience. Flexible Availability preferred. This is a great opportunity to kick start your career as a chef in the casino industry!
Your dailyresponsibilities include:
* Follow recipes to prepare and/or cook food tomeet departmental standards or as directed.
* Measure and convert recipes without affectingquality.
* Perform assigned function within the kitchensuch as broiler, sauté, Asian, prep and production when needed.
* Accepts direction during day to day operationsto ensure culinary standards and operational guidelines including kitchenareas, food preparation activities and facilities are met.
* Efficient preparation of all food relateditems based on established recipes and plating procedures for both batch andindividual plated with attention to maintaining appropriate volume, quality,cleanliness and attractiveness.
* Knowledge/understanding of kitchen equipmentto include safe operations and regulation of temperatures for proficientcooking times and temperatures.
* Understands fundamentals of soups, sauces,starches, thickeners and emulsifiers.
* Must adhere to regulatory, department andcompany policies.
* Partners with culinary leadership to work as ateam to ensure coordinated work flow during shift to meet business demands andensure customer satisfaction.
* Must be familiar with and have exposure toprep list.
* Take inventories.
* Exhibit intermediate knife skills, classiccuts and sharpening.
* Attend all departmental and company trainingprograms or meetings as directed.
* Properly maintains, cleans and sanitizesequipment and work areas to meet departmental standards or as directed.
* Perform all job duties in a safe andresponsible manner.
* Meet department uniform, appearance andgrooming requirements. This includes purchasing and wearing slip resistantsafety shoes when performing all job duties.
* Perform other job related and compatibleduties as assigned.
To be successful in this position it willrequire the following skill set:
* A minimum of one year of related experienceand/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Knowledge of applicable food preparationmethods and measures for assigned function
Salary Range: $20-24 per hour.
Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 to $24.00 per HOURF
