Cashier Job Description

As a Cashier at La Familia Cortez Restaurants, you’re responsible for taking guests payments in the form of cash, check or credit cards while promoting services, answering phones, and taking/preparing To-go orders. Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by other Team Leaders and/or Managers at any time.

Responsibilities

• Recording customers’ orders into the POS System, ensuring each and every request are fully and accurately entered;

• Taking money in the form of cash, credit card, or check;

• Counting money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change;

• Balancing cash drawer by generating daily POS System reports on credit card transactions;

• Identifying customer issues/complaints and take necessary steps to correct them.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age;

• Knowledge of concepts of accounting and finance;

• Must be able to successfully pass an employment credit check and background;

• TABC and Texas Food handlers Certified;

• Credit Check required.

• Must be able to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Holidays.
