About Us:
Cooperative Services Center, Inc. performs all customer service functions for Wake Electric Membership Corporation. Wake Electric is an Electric Utility Cooperative.
Summary:
The part-time cashier is responsible for receiving customer payments for electric bills and invoices, which may include cash, credit card, or check transactions. All transactions must be accurately entered into the customer service system, with receipts issued and records maintained. The cashier is also responsible for balancing transactions at the end of each shift and assisting customers with general account questions.
The primary schedule for this position is 7:45 a.m. – 11:45 a.m., Monday through Friday (20 hours per week). However, several part-time cashiers cover the hours of 7:45 a.m. – 5:15 p.m., Monday through Friday. The successful candidate must be flexible to cover other shifts within this time frame when needed. When possible, proper notice of shift change will be given.
Hiring Range: $13.37 - 16.04 per hour depending on experience.
