We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Cashier–Clerk to support daily operations within a high-volume towing office. This role processes cash, check, and credit card transactions, assists customers and law enforcement personnel with vehicle-release procedures, and ensures accuracy in documentation and payments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and able to handle challenging customer interactions while maintaining excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:
Answer high volumes of incoming calls related to towing services and police impounds.
Assist customers and law enforcement representatives with questions regarding vehicle releases and towing regulations.
Process impound releases for customers, including those who may be upset or distressed.
Verify and collect the necessary identification and paperwork required for vehicle release.
Handle cash and credit/debit transactions; deposit receipts into the safe daily.
Complete impound paperwork, perform data entry, and ensure legal and procedural compliance.
Prepare daily balance “drop” forms and maintain accurate financial records.
Respond to internal and external tow operator inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
1–3 years of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
Cash-handling experience preferred but not required.
Basic computer knowledge; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and communication skills.
Valid driver’s license or state ID; must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs.
Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
Regular use of hands and fingers for clerical tasks and computer operation.
Work Environment:
Office environment with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
Moderate noise level.
Fast-paced, customer-facing setting with frequent interaction with distressed or emotional individuals.
