JOB SUMMARY

To check out customers in an efficient, accurate and pleasant manner to ensure customer requirements are met.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

(E=Essential   A=Additional)

E   Provide products and services that are competitively priced, always meet the requirements of internal and

external customers and abide by the Company’s Mission Statement.

E   Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tables, utensils, floor (to ensure safety) and sanitation regulations are met.

E   Ringing up customers orders by scanning product or punching price into register.

E   Finalize sale and collect payment by totaling order, deducting for coupons and accepting tender from

customer.

E   Providing good customer service by being pleasant, greeting customer and thanking them for their business.

A   Bagging orders by putting grocery orders into the appropriate bags and then into the carts.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Preferably 18 years of age

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

Ability to read and follow instructions

Verbal and written communicative skills

Basic math skills

Good customer relations skills

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to bend and twist.
