A typical day involves greeting guests, selling pool admissions, handling cash or card transactions, preparing and selling concession snacks and drinks, cleaning the counter area, and answering guest questions.
It's a fun, social job-great for people who enjoy working outdoors, interacting with the public, and being part of a team.
The ideal candidates are friendly, dependable, good with money, able to multitask, and comfortable working in a busy, sometimes noisy environment.
Basic math skills and customer service experience are a plus.
Incumbents are responsible for providing courteous customer service and cashier services; including collecting admission fees, answering phones, responding to customer questions, and related work as required.
REPORTING STRUCTURE:
Receives direct supervision from higher level supervisory and management staff.
Typical Class Essential Duties
1.Provides front line customer service needs at a facility entrance.
2.Collects admission fees, pre-packaged food purchases, and/or retail items and maintains related records to follow City policies and procedures relating to accounts receivable tasks.
3.Counts money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and there is adequate change available.
4.Stocks supplies such as food or retail sales inventory in a safe and efficient manner.
5.Maintains clean and orderly cashier station and performs basic routine cleaning tasks.
6.Provides general customer service and communication with the public regarding safety, policies, rules, and general information about the facility or event.
7.Represents the City of Casper by responding to the public, citizens, its employees, and others in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner while continuously maintaining a positive customer service demeanor.
8.Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
